“Fantastically Cozy and Artsy” stayed 8/08
My husband and I just got back from a trip to San Diego where we stayed at Vintage Sol. We both LOVED this B&B!!!

The best part of the stay was most definitely the owner. She goes above and beyond to make your stay not just comfortable, but unique, without ever invading the space. You get full use of a large and beautiful patio area, which has lovely fountains and plants. In the morning, she set out juice and tea, shortly followed by a huge and gourmet breakfast (we had Eggs Benedict with grilled fruit one morning and enchiladas with watermelon and eggs the next). Food was delicious and also beautiful.

The ambiance of this place is completely cool. Very artsy- there is so much stuff to look at, but is at the same time clean and comfortable- never overwhelming. The casita is fully stocked with everything you need- very well organized! It has a lovely little kitchen, cute bath, and comfy bed. Again, the decor is fantastic. They have put together several binders describing places to visit in San Diego (food, shops, sites) with maps and directions. She suggested several eateries and shops that were fantastic!

The most memorable part of our stay was on our last night. When we returned to the B&B, she had put out margaritas with chips and salsa and a personalized note. Sitting on the patio under the stars and sipping our drinks while listening to the trickling fountain was very romantic. We can't wait to stay again!!

"Gorgeous Bohemian Heaven at Vintage Sol"
This place is exquisite, like walking into
into a Frida Kahlo painting, with gorgeous art & funky decor everywhere. My husband & I stayed there for our little honeymoon, and the owners were wonderful & extremely accommodating. It's not the biggest place, but it's the perfect size for 2 people looking to escape. Every morning we were woken up with fabulous home-cooked gourmet breakfasts, and on our last nite there we arrived to a candle-lit courtyard with drinks & dessert & a flower petal path. This place is a perfect little oasis, and we shall be returning positively.

"Over the moon"
stayed 6/08
We are over the moon about Vintage Sol! My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here this past weekend and were more than thrilled. Paisley really knows how to make her guests feel welcomed. Taking care to stock a small kitchenette with fruits, juices and snacks to nosh on. The courtyard and room have a light airy feel, whimsy at every turn. Paisley's meals are a treat not to be missed! We especially enjoyed the care she takes in the presentation of each plate. Her restaurant recommendations were spot on. We plan on a return visit and highly recommend Vintage Sol. Thanks for making our stay outstanding Paisley!

"wonderful artsy B&B" stayed 5/08
My fiance and I had the pleasure of staying at Vintage Sol this past Memorial Day weekend. We were met with the quaintest, artsy, room with a feel that we were in Mexico. Paisley decorated the room with such a cozy feel, yet it had such a fun spin with all of the knick-nacks that she has made. Paisley was such a warm, helpful hostess. The day it rained, she left us an umbrella and hot cocoa. When we returned to the room, cans of cold soda awaited us. The breakfast that she made each day were distinct and delicious with a Mexican flare that both of us enjoyed. All of her helpful suggestions and albums of places to see while in San Diego were much appreciated. Her B&B made us want to continue exploring all that B&B have to offer out there. However, I can truly and honestly state that her B&B surpassed all the others I have stayed at. Her warmth, hospitality, great cooking, and cozy/fun accommodations without a doubt make this a B&B experience that will surpass all others. Thank you so much Paisley. We can not wait to stay again!

"Blown Away" stayed 5/08
I rarely ever write reviews but my wife and I and our 11 month old daughter, Sophia, had such a wonderful time staying in San Diego at Vintage Sol that I had to talk it up!! When we arrived after a long six hour flight (with baby in tow) we found lit candles and fresh baked cookies and two glasses of lemonade waiting for us. Suffice it to say that Paisley had us at hello: ) The rest of our 5 day stay was more of the same in terms of level of encouragement. From the thoughtfulness that went into the decorations of our room to the everyday events-to-see lists Paisley would drop off with breakfast or how about Paisley providing for us a pack-and-play so we didn't have to lug one onto the plane with us!! Do I need to mention the breakfast? Let me just say that the breakfasts were so elaborate and deep down tasty and seemingly expensive to create that I wondered if our hostess would actually be making any money on our visit. If you enjoy the kind of attention to detail and personal attention you get at 5 star hotels and restaurants but you are maybe not able to afford 5 nights at the Ritz than Vintage Sol is for you! Scratch that--even if you can afford the Ritz stay at Vintage Sol!

"Wonderful B&B experience" stayed 4/08
We stayed for 4 nights and had a fabulous time. Love the decor of the room and the patio. It is close to great restaurants in a nice local neighborhood. We attended a conference in town and it is only a short drive to the dt convention center. Paisley was a fabulous and accommodating host and we will definitely return for our next san diego trip.

"Amazing Getaway" stayed 4/08
We stayed at Vintage Sol last weekend and had a simply amazing time. Paisley was so warm and welcoming, and the guest house was very intimate and whimsically decorated. The breakfasts were delicious and we were even able to pick fresh loquats from the garden. On our last night she surprised us with a candlelit courtyard and margaritas; it was the perfect end to the perfect vacation. We will definitely be coming back!

"Urban Dreamland" stayed 4/08
I had the pleasure of staying at Vintage Sol last week. The proprieters were extremely warm and friendly upon my arrival. The room was quaint and perfectly cozy-filled with unique and thoughful curios. The bed was the best part. So soft and lush! I have to rate Vintage Sol in my top 3 places I have stayed over the years! I will definitely be back and highly recommend it!

"Hospitality" stayed 12/08
Great experience! Room was cozy, comfortable and quiet. And, yes, the breakfasts were INCREDIBLE! Paisley's hospitality, friendliness and recommended activities were wonderful. The private garden courtyard and Latin decor are charming, colorful and unique. A one-of-a-kind experience!
